How Do You Get Into eLearning?
One of the questions I’m asked more often than any other is, “How do you get into eLearning?”
And the truth is, there’s no easy answer to this question. That’s because most people fell into eLearning entirely by accident!
For example, I was working in retail loss prevention, catching shoplifters, before I fell into eLearning. And one day, someone came along and suggested that I should teach others how to catch shoplifters. What a crazy idea, right?!
Well, it was through that I was introduced to my first eLearning authoring tool, Articulate Studio ’09, and discovered that I had a talent for eLearning design. The rest is kinda history. But here’s the interesting thing: if you asked other eLearning designers how they got into eLearning, you’d be surprised how many of them describe a similar story.
