How to Cook a Turkey in Articulate Storyline
Thanksgiving is my absolute favorite holiday of the year—it’s all about the food! Sadly, I didn’t get the chance to travel home for the holidays this last year. Because of this, I ended up with a whole week of nothing to do. If you’re like me, when you have an abundance of time to waste at home, you start getting creative in Articulate Storyline…and that’s exactly what I did!
I decided that I wanted to figure out how to combine my two favorite things: my love for Thanksgiving and my love for Articulate Storyline. I decided to create a simple and interactive course to show how to select, prepare and roast a turkey.
How to Cook a Turkey in Articulate Storyline
While designing this example, I had a few goals I wanted to accomplish. First and foremost, I wanted it to be highly interactive. I didn’t want the information to be provided via audio narration. Instead, I wanted the interactivity to drive the discovery of content. Each screen presents the user with a unique interaction, which delivers the learning content. I also wanted it to be graphically pleasing and easy to navigate. I took inspiration from how many tablet apps look and operate.
Presenting (and Winning) at mLearnCon DemoFest
After creating this example last year, I had the opportunity to present it at mLearnCon DemoFest. After showcasing it to hundreds of conference attendees, I was thrilled to walkaway with the Wisetail Award, which is handpicked by the event sponsor (Wisetail).
Hey Tim!!
I love that turkey presentation. Its really polished and looks great!! Im just wondering how you did the “portion calculator”.. was that alot of variables? I have a project coming up which relates to the construction industry and would love to know how you did this if you are willing to share?
Thank you as always.
Bailey 🙂
