Join Me At Learning Solutions 2020!

Are you attending Learning Solutions 2020?! If so, can you believe we’re only a month or so away!

Learning Solutions is one of my favorite conferences to attend. In fact, it was the first conference I ever attended back in 2010, and the first conference I ever spoke at in 2013. To say that Learning Solutions holds a special place in my heart would be an understatement! Anyhow, we’re only a month or so away from Learning Solutions 2020, and I wanted to share with you some of the exciting, jam-packed sessions I’ll be facilitating!

Check out the details below. I hope to see you there!

How I Made This

Have you ever seen a cool widget, a short animation, or a learner interaction in a larger learning solution and thought “How’d they do that?” Well, here’s your chance to get under the hood of projects and explore the creative techniques you can use to craft these experiences yourself using common tools like Storyline, Captivate, PowerPoint, and more!

Join me How I Made This, where I’ll be showing how you can easily create motion graphics and animated explainer videos in Camtasia.

  • Date: Monday, March 30th
  • Time: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM PST
  • Location: The Rosen Centre

Presentation Roulette

Want to start your conference off with a laugh? Then join me for Presentation Roulette, an L&D-themed improv event. You’ll see me and some of Learning Solution’s most trusted speakers present, but with a twist—we’ll have no idea what’s on our slides!

  • Date: Monday, March 30th
  • Time: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM PST

How to Create Engaging eLearning Through Visual Design

Join me at Learning Solution 2020

The effectiveness of any eLearning experience is only as good as the instructional design put into it. But can instructional design alone make eLearning engaging and effective? The truth is: good eLearning design is more than just instructional design. An engaging eLearning experience uses visual design, graphic design, and user interface design to help elevate the instructional design and learning experience.

In this session, you’ll learn how to use visual design to create engaging eLearning experiences. You’ll explore how to use visual communication techniques to visualize your learning content and help your learners “see” what you’re saying. Best of all, this session will focus on tips anyone can use, regardless of their current art or graphic design skills.

  • Date: Monday, March 31st
  • Time: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM PST
  • Location: The Rosen Centre
