Getting Started with The eLearning Development Process: A 40-Lesson eCourse

A couple of weeks ago, I shared a first look at my upcoming book, The eLearning Designer’s Handbook, which I have been working on for the last several months. About three weeks ago, as I was wrapping up the final draft of my book, I realized I also wanted to offer a companion eCourse to go hand-in-hand with my new book. It was a pretty crazy idea at the time, but I knew I had all of the raw content sitting in my new book—I just needed to convert it into an interactive and engaging format.

Well, after a lot of sleepless nights and jam-packed weekends, I made it happen! Basing it of my new book, The eLearning Designer’s Handbook, I was able to create the Getting Started with The eLearning Development Process eCourse, which is launching the same day as the book: Tuesday, July 17th!

In this post, I thought it would be nice to share a sneak peek of my new eCourse.

What is The Getting Started with The eLearning Development Process eCourse?

Based on my book, The eLearning Designer’s Handbook, I designed this 40-lesson eCourse to act as a springboard to the eLearning development process for new eLearning designers. The goal was to provide information that would be immediately applicable to any eLearning designer starting a new project.

The Getting Started with The eLearning Development Process eCourse covers how to…

  • Get started with the eLearning development process.
  • Plan your eLearning project.
  • Draft your eLearning storyboard.
  • Develop your eLearning course.
  • Review your eLearning course.
  • How to deliver your eLearning course.
  • Continue your mastery of the eLearning development process.

In addition to everything I’ve mentioned, the eCourse is also 100% self-paced and mobile responsive. That means whether you’re at the office, on a train, or at home, you can access this eCourse using whatever device you might have on you at the moment.

Finally, the eCourse also contains some exclusive video content that you won’t find on my website or in The eLearning Designer’s Handbook. As part of the eCourse, I recorded eight videos to share my insights, in my own words.

The eCourse Trailer

Similar to my marketing plan for The eLearning Designer’s Handbook, I also recorded a short trailer for the new eCourse. My goal was to show how my new eCourse could be used hand-in-hand with my new book and to give you a sense of the course experience. Check it out below!
